His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, addressed the nation last night, on the eve of the 24th national day celebrations by asking one fundamental question: What are the nation's youth doing for the benefit of the country?

Time for all to think now... creatively in every aspect. Brunei Darussalam need the younger generation especially now, those who are ready, willing, understand what makes country greater than great.

Each national day His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will say His titah, and its a patriotic time for all to reflect what have we achieve so far and be proud of how far we have gone.

We have a great leader, now each individual have an important role to play to get this country further. Selamat Hari Kebangsaan everyone.

A journey back... 8.12.1962

"We who were children in 1962 are about to hand over to a generation who have had all the benefits of the health, education, knowledge and prosperity passed on to them by our parents and grandparents." HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah

"Kita adalah sejarah kita...". Sejarah membentuk peribadi dan jati diri setiap bangsa. Mengajar kita tentang pelbagai aspek pengorbanan, baik dari segi politik dan kehidupan. Satu keperluan patriotik bagi memahami sejarah ini untuk generasi sekarang yang akan melapisi dan mewarisi khazanah ibu pertiwi.

I shall not give a review before fully reading the book. But seeing it available is definitely something to be excited about. It covers not only about Brunei but ASEAN as a whole. History is one of my favorite, I believe that your past shall not dictate your future... but definitely we can learn to improve our own history that we are making now.

Destress & Rejuvenate at Zen Spa

My best friend spend plenty of time pampering herself and I hear so much about a weekend away at Spas and it seems to me now that it has become more of a necessity than a luxury. Well, considering our plugged-in, high speed, always on the go society, a weekend at a Day Spa does the trick to unwind.

Zen Spa has open its door few years ago in Delima Square, Serusop. And now Zen Spa has open another sanctuary for your body and soul in Suria Qiulap, a complex that you can see when driving down the highway at the Kiarong roundabout. Exciting news for those seeking to pamper and relax in a soothing, refreshing and relaxing ambiance available at Zen Spa.

Fifteen minutes or so I feel like I'm on my first trip to Labuan, in the small ferry but minus the diesel fume. My head is spinning, I really feel like I'm the one behind the camera. I shall not question the common sense of the story, because I personally believe...

I need to take a leak, should I go to the toilet now or wait? (Five minutes into the movie). I should have gone and pee (7th minutes). Duh... nothing is happening, I go tinkle now. Running, running, running... done... wash hand. Running, running, running... found back my seat. Surprisingly did not miss much at all... what with all the hype about the monster in this movie?

Swanky malay cuisine, traditional dish with a twist... rendang, masak lemak, gulai curry, masak asam, sambal minang, kerabu and many more depending on the day. Matadoe Royale Peninsula Lunch Buffet is back again by popular demand. Every week from Monday to Wednesday from 12.oo to 2.oo pm. for dine in only.

Nasi Lemak Friday Buffet from 12.oo to 2.oo pm. with choices of sambal, rendang, and other condiments to complete a Nasi Lemak. Traditionally, Nasi Lemak comes as a rice platter with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg, and hot spicy sauce (sambal)... but at Matadoe, there's more zesty and spicy choice; sambal sotong, rendang kerang, rendang daging, ayam perchik and many more... also depending on which friday it is.

Valentine Dinner at Matadoe

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, for many its a reason to celebrate love and romance, for some it is friendship and affection. For the girls it is usually red rose and chocolate, for the boys it's "will i get a kiss (lucky) tonite..."

Many years ago we wonder why do we have to wait for 14th of February every year to do such. Then after understanding the reason and with the help of internet coming into the world, I come to a personal understanding that it is sort of a Universal Agreement for everyone to do it at the same time... minus the despairing and romantic history of St. Valentine's behind it, it is no longer a religious celebration at all. We all need a chance at love... at least once a year, and hope it will last forever.

Anyway... make a decision now whether to create your own troublesome dinner or take the romance to a romantic location with cozy ambiance, nice music, great food and private moment. Matadoe Cafe & Restaurant are offering 20 tables for Valentine Dinner this year, exclusively limited I say.
